Stephanie and Drew have a strong connection to the lakes area so it made perfect sense to have their engagement session there.  35 years ago they first met while in Kindergarten. While they won't claim that's where they first fell in love, when they reconnected a couple years ago it was natural and easy, the love that they had for each other.  They have been together ever since!  There was no denying their love here.  I love being able to capture that.

That brings up a good point about my style of photography.  While a close-up straight on face/smiling shot is great to have I strive to catch 'special' moments.  A moment when she giggles because he is whispering in her ear, a moment right after a kiss, a moment when they think I am not looking.  That relays a true emotion and a connection.  The connection between these two is electric :)

I cannot wait for Stephanie and Drew's wedding next year.

Brianna Loves Devin

Brianna and Devin are so in love!  Devin was shy at first but then he wasn't shy when it came to showing affection to Brianna.  They have a true special connection and I cannot wait till their wedding next spring! Our shoot took place at Arnolds Park in Okoboji and there was a fair share of fun places to shoot these two in action including, Tropical Sno where they first met!

Dani is stunning and Philip knows it! There is no hiding that these two are crazy about each other!  They really let go and let some amazing things happen with this shoot! I cannot wait for their wedding in September!  

California, oh how I love you...

Ok, so I am officially back in business.  With my blog that is!  I am super proud of my first post since 2011.  Last month I had the privilege of traveling to California to photograph one of my closest friends Katherine, her Sister Christina, and her boyfriend Reid.  We had such an amazing time!  I came home and had taken over 3000 photos.  Try narrowing those down.  I don't really need to say much more as these photos speak for themselves and show just how much fun we really had.
